Materially Difference Advantage
Hi
13% cr steel is a superior grade material then 16MnCr5.
This due to Harding property offered by % of cr in steel composition.
Generally Rotor are made of Harden steel so that they give very long life.
But as grade of material changes so the price of manufacturing.
for example 16MnCr5 will cost me 16MnCr5
0.8 Euro/Kg and for 13% Cr. steel it will cost 2.14 Euro/Kg for 20 mm rod material. Which is three time of Cr 5 material.
Moreover Harder the material more time and labor is required to manufacturer it. Dose cost it will cost you four time of normal 16MnCr5 steel.
